Hi Debbie,
We wanted to send you a huge thank you for letting us "adopt" our little boy Murphy!  From the first day we brought him home, he has filled our days with excitement, joy and love.  He has also brightened many people's days and has already begun to show the makings of an excellent therapy dog.  My grandparents who are 88 and 89 are amazed at how patiently he sits and waits to be petted!  In addition, he loves to be around children and is patient and gentle with them. We cannot tell you with words about how much of a blessing Murphy is to us. He is a handsome boy with an equally amazing personality.  We could not ask for a more wonderful companion to share our lives with!  Anyone who is
fortunate enough to get a puppy from Sunshine Goldens will be forever blessed! Thank you, Michelle and Eric L.

Hi Debbie.. Here's Roz...she's in puppy kindergarten, gets along with everybody (the instructor noted she's sensitive to other dogs, knows when to move in and play and when to be cautious) and is very quick to pick up sit, stay, come, and walking on lead. At 4 months she's distractable (no surprise!) so we're working on consistency, and will move into puppy intermediate class immediately after finishing kindergarten. We're completely besotted...She's fabulous--loving, goofy, smart, full of energy--everybody loves her. Our dogsitter (a 16 year old) says "Roz loves everybody, and everybody loves Roz!" which puts it in a nutshell. Sharon and Eric S.

Here is a picture of Hooper at 6 1/2 years old. He has over 60 searches with me including countless overnights in the Yosemite high country searching for lost hikers. He has turned out be a truly remarkable dog in every way. Dick T.

As we expected, Baxter has turned out to be an exceptional dog, as was Riley that we purchased from you in early 1992.  We still get so many compliments from strangers on what a good looking golden he is, and of course we think they're right!! He is great with our children and is one of the family.  My friends joke that he is my third child because I take him with me whenever possible and because he's so spoiled.  Over the years I have recommended you to several people who have asked where we got such an exceptional dog. Hi Debbie, Just wanted to update you on how we're doing... and that's totally FINE!  Our little girl is sooo fun.  We ended up naming her Ditto.  We went all over with names but kept calling her Lucy...that was a predecessor.  She has so many of Lucy's traits and we'd 'slip'.  So we decided on ditto... (as opposed to Lucy II - which is rather hard to say.)  She is doing very well with her 'training'.  She's very obedient and loves to please...very golden.  Full of beans.  loves... i mean LOVES the water.  She's now figured out that the river requires a ride in the car... guess what she's figured out how to nag as well.  She hasn't figured out that the reflection she sees in the mirror is NOT another puppy.  That's a hoot.  She's sooo much more fun than TV.  and we are totally enjoying her.  She kinda likes us as well I think.  Very nice bones and solid... My vet really loves her.  (He's got 3 goldens as well). Thanks to Deli for our really fine and fabulous little girl. Irene
Hi Debbie. It has been a long time.  However, Bonnie & I wanted to take a moment and thank you again.  We could not have chosen a better dog for our family ourselves. Bonnie & I were talking last night about a friend who got a Golden Retriever puppy.  The puppy is currently 7 months old and potty trained. She went to work the other day and when she got home her puppy had pulled the rug from the living room into the kitchen.  It had pushed & pulled the couch into the middle of the room and chewed on the furniture and attempted to dig through the floor. We were reminded in a very clear way just how fortunate we are to have Zach. We barely had to potty train Zach and from day one he would sit and wait for his food bowl to be put on the floor and for us to release him to eat.  That was a direct testament result of your skill as a breeder. It dosen't sound like much but it made our lives so much easier. Anyway, Zach is doing so well.  He is a polite, loving member of our family and we are so happy to have him.  He has been and is the perfect first-time dog experience and a treat to come home to every night. Thank you again for our boy.

Debbie B., Your Sunshine dogs have such amazing temperaments. I must share my story. Tamra and I went to visit an Alzheimer's unit at a near by nursing home.  I don't think you can imagine the joy that Tamra brought to me and many other people today. Many times, I was close to tears.  She was magnificent!  Everyone adored her and she loved everyone of them.  She is so tender and sweet to each person.  Without my encouragement, she visited each person in the room.  If she feels a particular affection, she will lean up against the person. She doesn't care if they are clumsy or awkward.  She doesn't care if they tell the same story over and over.  She just smiles and listens. (Everyone said she had a smile on her face).  This was our first visit at this facility and she was not at all nervous or anxious.  She just went right to work spreading her Sunshine cheer.  Everyone there commented on her beauty and her temperament.  They could not believe that she is 9 years old.  She did some tricks to make people laugh and clap.  She loves applause!  We played hide the toy, which brought joy and excitement to everyone.  She would find the toy and literally prance around the room making everyone giggle.  Some people enjoyed throwing the toy for her which she would promptly retrieved and brought back to me.She is an amazing friend and companion.  I cannot believe how fortunate I am to have her in my life.  She is a once in a life time companion. Susie & Tamra too!

I am quite sure that Paige is the smartest puppy ever.  We are having so much fun with her, it is amazing to me that raising a puppy can be so enjoyable.  She is a true joy to all of us. I'm sorry to go on and on.  We are just so in love with her.  Thank you!! M.H.

We're all in love with our darling Sigi!  She's obviously been well socialized and loved.  The kids are crazy about her and we all love the snuggles.  She's responding so well to training and is very smart.  I'll continue to update you but suffice to say we're extraordinarily happy with our newest family member. It was a pleasure to meet you and thanks again for finding us a perfect match! ks

Hi Debbie "Little Ann" is providing much amusement in our household.  She is doing well, eating well, sleeping all night and getting the idea of "going outside".  Doug is sure that you gave us the prettiest puppy and made a mistake and kept #2 for yourself.  No one could be cuter.  She is just too adorable for words.  She owns the place, at least she seems to think so. Thanks for your contribution to our family. Love, Jane and Doug
